Bulletin of Fish Biology
The Bulletin of Fish Biology is the official publication of the GfI and appears once a year. It contains
- scientific papers,
- faunistic and technical short communications,
- current book reviews and
- communications from the German Ichthyological Society (GfI).
The Bulletin is an open access journal. The print version will continue to exist, but articles will be made available to authors in advance as PDF files for online publication. The Bulletin of Fish Biology is published in German and English. Manuscripts are forwarded to at least two reviewers for evaluation, one of whom may be suggested by the authors. The aim is to make the articles available to authors as free PDFs with final pagination within two months of acceptance. The articles will later be compiled into a printed volume of approximately 100 to 120 pages.

List of publications by GfI members
GfI members have the opportunity to include their fish-related work (preferably with reference to the working area) in the bibliography in the GfI Fish Atlas. This can be found in the atlas under STATISTIKEN > PUBLIKATIONEN.
